Yeah it's straight down.. resistence, rubbing/scratching.. the f'ed sound. I'm not naming names yet since I just PM'd him to let him know whats up.. but if you really wanted to find out, the search would be your friend!

I just bought a used sub from someone on here and it won't move freely when I push with my hand - I can push it down, and I can pull it up. The whole time it scratches. Is this the VC or what's up? It's a RE SE.
