I've heard about that the "+15" setting on the Alpine, actually is the "0" position. So, if you put in the "0" position, it will be in -15dB. I have a 7998 and have the same "problem".

Well, here in Brasil we only have the entry-level Kenwood, Pioneer and Sony Decks! all other stuff have to be imported. We pay here R$2000+- for a Alpine 9835. Can you imagine pay U$2000 for this deck? With the money we spend here to build a good system, you can build a hi-end system in USA...

Thanks for the help Slick. I found the 9255 for U$850 somewhere in the internet. But, my only doubt is if its sounds better than the Eclipse 8454. I Dont know wich one have a cleaner sound. And I can't do wrong because i'm in Brazil... Whe don't have these players here..

I Know about all the DRZ9255 and Eclipse 8454 features. But, in terms of Sound Quality, wich one have better audio fidelity? I tryed to search in a lot of foruns but i didn't found a comparision about DRZ9255 and 8454.
