This is happening to me no matter how i ground my pioneer headunit and with or without the rca's hooked up to the amplifier....Is this just a pioneer deck problem? Would getting a new deck of a different brand solve the problem?

I have a SoundStream 480.2 powering two 5 and 1/4 infinity kappa's and with the volume at zero i get pink noise coming through the speaker or the equivalent of smooth static. This doesn't bother me too much but pink noise supposedly heats up the voice coils, right? Either way I don't understand...

So thus the midranges being 8ohm and the midbass and the tweets being 4ohm all having 100rms continuous power rating I find myself confused on how to amp all of this

The only reason I said 4ohm midrange was because i planned on taking the aged 8ohm dynaudio's out, but since I can't seem to find a reasonable replacement...keeping them seems inevitable.

The reason i would do this because since they are 8 ohms and 100rms these need a lot of power i'm just wondering if its possible?

Is it possible that i could wire the 80hm midranges to the "A" side of a 4 channel amp by themselves. Then get a passive crossover to run the midbasses and tweets on the b side? Can the active crossovers in a 4 channel amp operate a set of midranges by themselves without having them hooked to a...

So If there are two 4 ohm speakers hooked to a passive crossover then the ohm load still remains four, It does not double at all?

Does using a 2 way crossover double the ohm load? Keep it the same? Or drop it?

I have a Volvo c70 and I'm wondering how I'm going to wire and amp a 7 inch mid bass a 4inch mid range and a tweet all 4ohm. I was thinking i could buy a 3 way passive crossover and just run the wires to a two channel amp would that work? Or i could buy a 2ohm stable amp and just do a 4 x 4 x 4...
