Too much power for Koda 10

Steven, what would be the optimal box size for the Koda 10. I currently have one that is around .8 sealed, but I was thinking of building another one since it looks like sh*t. -griff

Too much power for Koda 10

I was thinking of getting a Koda 10 and was wondering if 400w rms will be too much power for it. I already have the amp, RF Power 800.4, which I am bridging two of the channels for the sub. I'm interested in SQ and I've read a lot of good things about the Koda. -griff

    New subwoofer recommendation

That's a good point. I'll see if there is any more space and then build a bigger box for the 12. If there isn't I'll get the 10. I just want to use the full power of the amp if I can. Also, are box volume recommendations figured with the speaker in or out of the box? Thanks for all your...

    New subwoofer recommendation

For the IDQ 10's the recommended enclosure size is .25-.5, and for the 12's it is .65-1. That's why I was leaning towards the 12 for that brand. And it can handle more power. -griff

    New subwoofer recommendation

At the most 200. I was looking at ID since they say their subs can go in smaller boxes with good SQ. I just looked up the RE SE and they are dual 4ohm which doesn't work for me. I think I need a dual 2ohm sub to make it 4ohms.

    New subwoofer recommendation

I have a Rockford Power 800.4 which I will be bridging two of the channels at 4ohms for 400w rms for the sub. Which subs would you recommend for more SQ than SPL but I still want it to bump pretty good. I listen to mostly rock and punk with some rap thrown in. I have a sealed box that is .7...

    Need some advice

It just didn't sound that good with gain down. I turned it up pretty high and it sounded perfect so I just left it like a dumbass. I've been reading that the HX2's are power hungry so maybe that was it. Also, my box is about .7 cubic feet sealed for any sub recommendations.

    Need some advice

Well I blew my jbl 600.1 amp today. Smoke starting pouring out of it, so I figure it is toast. What do you think would be a better option of these two. 1. Replace the amp with something similar but with more power. I had the gain up way to high on the jbl because it wasn't hitting hard...
