    Few questions for y’all

I’m thinking of hooking the LOC to the rear speakers. Having all the audio gear in the trunk. I’m thinking of making metal straps attached to the package tray to mount the LOC and amp. I thought the 14-16 was speaker wire. I’m not 100% sure. I’d have to look again. I think the audio controls LOC...

    Few questions for y’all

I looked at the amp spec sheet. I think it recommends 7 awg power/ ground wire. I guess an 8 awg will work. It asked for a 50 fuse. I’m assuming 4 awg from battery to the trunk block. Then go from 4 awg to 8. The LOC asks for power wire of 16 or 14 awg. So I’ll need an adapter from the block to...

    Few questions for y’all

https://www.tarampstore.com/amplifier-taramps-md-800-1-channel-800-watts-rms/p I found this amp. If I remember right. The Taramps are good for the price. I’ll have to look at the wire size charts more. I’m very much a newb. Fumbling through this process.

    Amplifier Mounting

What about mounting it on the underside of the package tray? The metal between the back seat and back window. I’m thinking a couple of 1-2” wide straps. Bent to hold the amp and bent to lay along the package tray. You can put rubber spacers in if you want. Keeps the amp up out of the way and...

Is there a problem here....Advice needed

I’m thinking there’s couple of options. 1 you can use this amp. You’ll need to adjust the gain down to match the speaker RMS. 2 Sell the amp you have and get another. My thoughts a 4X40 or 4X 50 would work. Get it set to give clean sound. No distortion or clipping.

    Remove glued on fabric

I’d suggest if you’re using 409. Get some wax paper or Saran Wrap. Soak the fabric in 409. Then lay the wax paper/ Saran Wrap over wherever the 409 is on. Then put the whole thing outside on warm day. Keep putting 409 on to keep it wet. The combination of heat and keeping the item wet with 409...

One speaker working at at a time with new amp. Please help!

I’d suggest taking a methodical approach. Start with things you know work. Then add one thing at a time. Test the addition with a scope. Keep adding until it doesn’t work. Then you have the problem. Say start with rear speakers. They work then add in the splice. Test it with a scope. That...

    Some issue help needed

To protect the wires you can use wire loom. To keep the wires from moving there’s wire tie downs. When running wire through the sheet metal I’d use grommets.

Subwoofer "pops" when amp powers on. High pitch whine coming from subwoofer? *UPDATED*

How did you run the wires? Are the power and audio sources wires totally separate? How good is the ground wire? Those are the things running through my mind.

    Question on Dayton ultimax 8”

I’m a newb to sub box specs/ building. Would a wider port be better? Like going to a 1x 13x whatever. I’m thinking long as the stats equal the same the dimensions shouldn’t matter. I’ve heard using.50 as a number. For figuring internal numbers on build. It takes into account the sun, bracing...
