It's just a double din 7" LCD dvd player - I wouldn't think there is anything different about its size than others. Is this not a typical problem for double din dvd players?

I'm trying to install a Pyle PLDN74BTI 7" LCD DVD Player in my 2007 Explorer, and I have two problems: 1) The dash kit for my '07 Explorer isn't fitting around the DVD Player. The DVD player is too large - the motorized face, when in the upright/closed position, won't fit inside of it...
