crossover is at about 100-120, has no other filters, very basic amp, and bass boost is at half. it i turn bass boost lower then i can turn the gain up a little higher before it goes into protection. i still get the same effect in the end. it is just not enough power going through these subs

im sorry, its not a jl slash series 1000/1 amp its TMA made by JL, Total Mobile Audio model T1000.1 which is capable of outputting 1000w at 1 ohm.

just tried to test the ohm resistance between the the subwoofer leads that connect to the amp. it read 1.8-2 ohms. would the problem be from this?

ok here goes I bought a new amp cuz my old amp will no longer output power. my new amp is the JL TMA T1000.1 1000w @ 1 ohm mono block. I have two alpine type-r's hooked up to this in parallel at 1 ohm. This was my previous setup as well with the old Cadence TXA-1000d. Now, i hooked everything...
