    Focal vs Bose

Bose is the greatest audio marketing company in history. Their reputation is better than their speakers. Bose is only OEM in cars anyway. Focal Kevlar series is wayyyy better but pricy.

    SSA Evil 6.5 comps

The Dayton Reference line is really nice for the price. If you need a 5.25" look at Zaph Audio driver

    Audiofrog 6.5 comps...anything better for $350?

Fosgate T252-S component speakers are 2.5" depth. You could make an adapter ring out of 1/4" wood to make them fit.

    Sounds stream 4 channel stealth

Soundstream got a ton of bad boards and therefore a ton of defective merchandise and filed bankruptcy. The name was bought by parent company of Power Acoustik. They also bought Precision Power. It's mostly economy to middle-end stuff now. While once in a blue moon they come out with a high end...

Dodge Neon 5-channel amp - SQ and efficient

Hi guys, I've been out of car audio for awhile. I have a 2002 Dodge neon and I'm going to put high end, new (old school) PPI DCX 525S comps in the doors, subs in the trunk, and I have a Sony DVD player with Dolby surround. I'll add surround sound rear deck speakers at a later date. I want to...

MTX Terminators vs MTX 55 Series.

That MTX 55 series sub may require a larger box. A well built custom box will probably make a bigger difference than changing subs.

ORION XTR PRO 12" vs. JL 10TW3's

Take a look at the Alpine S series, especially the ten inch, see if the depth might work for you. They are moderate depth subs - between standard depth and shallow mount. I really don't like shallow subs. But if you have to use them, the JL shallows are about the best you can do

Truck (Rear Seat, Limited Space)Subwoofer Options?

How much depth do you have? Look at Alpine S series - they are a moderate depth, shallower than the ones you have mentioned. The ten is only 4.7" deep.

    SQ Subwoofer

Based on the choices mentioned in this thread, I'd say W7 for the win....... it will beat the XBL2 /Adire woofers. The W7 has been a benchmark SQL sub for a couple of decades now. They are pricey though. I'd personally go for the Ultimax and save some cash......... true mirrored spiders, low...

Looking for a good lower watt sub

Efficiency ratings on subs are not worth much........they are rated at a 1,000 hz - not where you will be using it. If you want a high efficiency sub, look for one that requires a large enclosure (if you have the space).

    What's going on with Hcca?

Electronics sales are up 58%, I'm sure lots of stuff is out of stock. I was trying to find a deal on a TV, but it's hard to even find what I want at regular price.

Do coaxial speakers have a built in crossover on the woofer also?

Most coax speakers only have a cap, a high-pass xover for the tweeter, no lowpass....and from looking at the pics of that coax, this is what it has. But these are designed to be used that way, with the woofer acoustically rolling off. I don't see why you can't use your dsp?........ but you...

    Critical mass speakers

Critical Mass makes good equipment. People don't like them because they have ridiculously high list prices. Call a dealer and negotiate a lower price.
