    (Semi) Broken Amplifier...

I know that every single piece of equipment I own sucks. I work fast food and that's only part time, so I have enough money to cover my rent and nothing else... The entire stereo cost me less than $300 all together... What sort of system would you recommend assuming I have ~2000 to spend total...

    (Semi) Broken Amplifier...

So I'm an idiot, and I managed to blow one of the two channels on my TiS audio 2500w amplifier, reducing its output to a mere 650w RMS. The broken channel outputs 44.5v dc. I'm guessing that everything down the line on that channel is blown except for the power supply. Am I correct in assuming this?

    Steering Wheel Control Problems

If your steering wheel controls function solely on an IR (infrared, like a t.v. remote) connection, that's a problem you can't avoid. My head unit has a wired remote, so I don't have to worry about that issue. If your head unit supports it, I would hook up a wired remote. If you can't do that, I...

In need of another EE major...

I figured as long as I'm going to browse these forums, I might as well ask the difficult questions since everyone else seems to be hung up on, "wut om du i use", and such... I have a semi broken amplifier. It's a TiS audio (see sig), which apparently doesn't even have a website or any number I...

    Required speaker wire

If you have that much extra cable to spare, I would double or even triple wire it. Since it's a speaker (unfused) connection, it's possible that using multiple runs of the same gauge wire rather than a larger gauge could provide better conductivity. I wouldn't recommend it though if it's going...

In need of an EE major for this one...

I drive a 1994 Dodge Caravan, with a more ghetto setup than you could probably imagine, but I put my heart and soul into it... For the most part it's because I'm always broke as hell, but I also love to work on it... and now comes the fun part... I want to install a full size computer tower in...
