I was thinking tap into the cigarette lighter plug? its 12 volt, and an accessory. I do not want to cut up my ignition harness and crap.

How do i run it to 2 ohms at the amp then?

But im not bridging the subs together. Only at the subs are where they meet, everywhere else they have there own connections.

There each dual voice coil 4 ohms and i have them bridged to 2 ohm. Black to black, red to red on each sub. Then to the terminals on the box. EDIT: Jl says the amp is 500watt rms stable @ 1.5 - 4 ohms.

Ive heard about the big three and looked at it a while ago. isnt it something to do with grounding the alternator to the battery then to the chassis?
