ok so I figured out that the new anl 100 amp fuse was the problem. I replaced my old glass fuse and now i have no issues. thanks for all the help, really appreciate it.

I recently installed an optima yellow top, and yes I have a 100 Amp fuse which is still good but the cap read 160 Amps which doesn't make sense.

ok so i went and checked the cap this morning and it reads 160A and also I think that my amp might be toast. I started smelling melting plastic and disconnected as fast as I could. I drove my car around the block with my amp powered straight from the battery and it works, but my battery light on...

im pretty sure its grounded correctly, i might have read the display wrong, but it said 160 (not sure what the unit of measure was).
