Ok so if I go with the PDX 1000.1 will I need both? OR will 1 push both??

I have 2 alpine type r swr-12d4s, Right now i have a cheapy amp just to get by. But i just did the Big 3 upgrade and ran 1/0 all the way back. So I'm looking to upgrade the amp to better suit the sub. I have a friend who is willing to sell me 2 pdx 1000.1s for 500 and I'm wondering if thats too...
