Thanks for the reply! It plays... But the surround is still pretty badly cracked and its uneven or something because the VC rubs when the cone moves a decent amount.. Last time I heard was that Fixmyspeaker.com was doing complete recones for 12w7s ONLY but stopped recently because of some kind...

I have a JL 12w7 has a severely torn surround (It still plays.. not blown).. It used to be in my car powered by a JL 500/1.. It's last resting place was in my bedroom as a beside table. lol Asking: 120 + ship or OBO + ship. Would prefer local pickup (I bet it's going to be expensive to ship)...

Hmm, im having the same problem with my JL 500/1... The green light stays on, i have to jiggle the speaker wires or switch the crossover on and off to regain sound..
