at low volumes it sounds fine, on an alpine deck @8 it sounds good but once i mov it up abit it scratches, its not the voice coiulbottoming out it actually makes this loud iritatting scratch like the voice coil has been dammaged!

the gains were set between 2-4 and it is the first year model with 60*4 watts triple 4 volt preouts!

lol just one more thing to add! with over excursion wouldnt that cause damage to the voice coil so that could be a cause for the scratchy sound!?

the other sub wasnt blown just the lead broke off on the negative thast why leads woven right into thr spider kick ass@@

freq was @ 50 bass boost was running full i forget how much it was, input sensitvity was 3/4 around the 4.0 mark and teh subsonice filter was set to 15db if i remember correctly!

i was running two fo them in a sealed box in parallel off a newer kenwood 450 mono subamp! and with the other sub one of the leds broke off !

i just purchased this deck used! im happy with it! i can change the colors of the buttons, also in that same menu i can turn on or off this thing called OLI??? wtf is that!? never heard of it! and who would figure holding down the mute button turned on sub control! good ol' alpine!

i am new to the fiber glass ways what do u mean by matt? liek is that extra thick fiberglass? and how many layers of glass do u use?

i am reallyinterested in trying to make my own fiberglass box. just a samll one for now but i wanna try it. i know i need fiberglass, resin and hardener. i gotta build the frame and then cover it in material. but i am lost after that!? any help wouldbe great.! thnx
