I recently bought a 2012 Hyundai Accent hatchback. Love the car, hate the "premium audio system". Sounded harsh, tinny and un-natural. Turned the bass way up, treble way down, and it was better. I'm pretty good with home audio, and home theater, and I know what good sound is, and that ain't it...

Fellow noob here, thought i would do a quick reply. Let people know your budget, may help you get replies. I have seen a few posts on Jeeps, they are a challenge, do a google search for your model, you will get some good info. Mass market speakers that sound"warm": JL Audio and Alpine.

If you are on a budget, you will find better prices on the interweb. Check amazon and ebay to get a benchmark on the lowest price for the stuff you want.

Guys, when you say "cut the speaker out", can you be more specific? Like, did you cut the basket in half or something?
