Problem with Red Top Opitma. (Not a good day)

    And I hope you're joking . . . That's about the least believable story I've ever heard.

    polarity?????

They're right. You just switch the positive and negative. See, when you inverse mount a subwoofer you're putting it 180 degrees out of phase, so you must reverse the polarity to put it back into phase.

    WOW.... everyone read this--- wow....

I wasn't aware people actually bought those. I was starting to figure that they were just empty shells made to resemble subwoofers.

So you are waffling between Best Buy install or DIY ? My recent experience with them

Yeah, there's one of them out in Winston-Salem. I went there once and I won't be back. Wasn't terribly impressed with the selection (JL and Alpine all around), and I thought the customer service was lacking. After getting one of them to help me (like pulling teeth from a rottweiler), he...

    Sound System Insurance?

One of my friends had his system jacked. He had screwed the box into the trunk though, so it was considered "permanently affixed" to the car, so his insurance paid for it.

    Radio was clipping but......

when my friend got his system jacked it was covered under his insurance. he screwed the box into the trunk, so it was technically "permanently affixed" to the vehicle.
