not sure. didnt have time to check it. but im agreeing with you. just put a friends polk 880 in my truck, same wires and everthing, and it slammed, hard.... looks like 12.4-12.6 with the polk

So i just bought a kenwood excelon x1200m amp to push my 18 inch re audio sxd4. wired @ 2 ohms. well it pushed really really weak for about 20 seconds, then went into protection mode. gain wasnt even halfway, and sub control on hu is -5. does anybody know if there is something inside it to go...

i actually just bought a kenwood x1200m. Hooked it up to my re audio sxd418, wired @ 2 ohms. Started of weak, really weak. then when i turned the gain up, went into protection mode. Not only do i have to send it back because its a "faulty" product, this was brand new, not refurb. My opinion...

i was gunna go that route, till i built my enclosure for my 18... trust me, you will feel better doing it yourself... good learning too.

So, i have a RE Audio SXD418. Wired to 2 ohms. RMS on the sub is about 1000w. I just fried my RF 1000.1bd so now, looking for an amp that can push 1000 watts rms @ 2 ohms. Money is an issue right now, so preferably cheap. I was actually looking at the HIFONICS HFi1500D. Any other suggestions?

so your amp wouldnt put out to a speaker, but another amp would put out to your sub? if the sub checks good, its in the amp. cutting out at higher volumes, makes me think ground...
