New Elemental Subs, Amps, and CDT's Installed

I could have had them tilted, but I wanted to keep as much space as possibly in the trunk, yet still have enough room to keep the amps cool. Having them level like they are has done just that.

Where Should I Mount My New Amps?

Answer is right above from my previous post. They arent mounted upside down, they are mounted right side up. They are "floating" so the air still rises from the top, like the should.

Where Should I Mount My New Amps?

Well Im glad that you guys like my install. Most people when I am at shows and GTG's here in town ask where the amps are. I tell them to either step back a few more feet, or bend down and look above. Its a perfect location for the amps, and there is plenty of room for any air to cross over...

Thanks again guys for the compliments. With every bump, and with every minute of being in the car, I enjoy my time even more now that I have some constant tunes (Sirius) and a nice system. For those interested, here's the rest of the car.

New Elemental Subs, Amps, and CDT's Installed

Just remember who was the ORIGINAL guy who had it done. BTW, these were all completed by Passatworld's/CB5's own STLB5. Josh did a great job and Im loving them every day I crank up the tunes in the Passat. BTW, for the record, I used no dynamat or any other deadening material when I installed...

New Elemental Subs, Amps, and CDT's Installed

From the pictures above, you can see that on each of the 4 mounting feet, there are threaded rods and nuts. On the Passats, there is a rear deck that I drilled through from the trunk side. Then I inserted the threaded rod from the trunk, going up. Attached a nut and a washer. On the trunk...

Thanks, unfortunatly I cant take credit for the work on the enclosures. A guy I know from another site made them for me specificly for these subs and with the amount of air space I needed.

How to properly tune my system????

I am in the final stages of getting the audio stuff setup in the Passat. With everything almost done, I need to start doing some research on how to properly tune everything, and I need some help. What I have: -6.5" CDT EF-61 component speakers w/ 1" silk tweeter and 480 crossovers. -(2) 10"...

    Elemental Designs Subs Arrived

I have yet to mount the components yet. One thing Im trying to work out is the dimensions, as well as mounting. Yes, I put the tweeters in the stock door sail location. I had to modify them slightly, and then glue the tweeters in, but they are in. The magnet is a little large, and causes the...
