no they are in a ported box. how much of a difference in spl would it be if I swapped the box?

I have 2 12" cvr's in my ranger xlt powered by a jl 1800g amp. they are nice and loud but I want something better suited for metal type faster music. I want to stay the same spl wise but also increase sq, so I was looking at 3 10"s instead. thoughts? I really want 3 W3s. price range is about...
