WTB: Bass knob for Crossfire CFA1000D

Does anyone have a bass knob for a Crossfire CFA1000D that you'd sell? If so, send me a PM or reply to this thread. Thanks!

Possible Amp Problem. Any advice welcome.

It sounds like there are multiple issues at hand. I suspect that your subs aren't wired correctly (I don't understand what you mean by your description) and your amps 12V+ & ground wires aren't a large enough gauge for your amp.

    My Crossfire FRIED!!!!!

Right. To ensure equal work distribution and to allow for variances in composition, all should be replaced with semiconductors produced in the same lot. It's sometimes hard to know for sure, but purchasing them at the same time from the same retailer helps.

    My Crossfire FRIED!!!!!

I'm not sure why you're making so many assumptions. That's not my method, I just wanted to make it simple for the guy who has the amp. If he understood how electronic components work, he would know what to test, how to test, and when to replace. I've been doing electronics repair for over 12...

    My Crossfire FRIED!!!!!

A fuse wouldn't have saved this amp in this case since the voltage regulator went in the car. Voltage, amperage, current. Look them up.

    My Crossfire FRIED!!!!!

Yes, as a matter of fact I've fixed four amps--all for under $15 each. I've also fixed TVs, stereos, video game consoles, and many other electronic items. Nice try, though. Have you ever fixed an amp?

Just buy yourself some replacement IRF3205 mosfets off of jameco.com for $1.55 each, ALSO test the resistors and replace as necessary, and your amp will probably be good to go again. Looks like a pretty simple fix to me.

Thanks for your responses. I built the enclosure this weekend and settled on ~32Hz. Sounds awesome.

Tuning question for 3 JL 10W6s in a ported enclosure

I'm building a ported enclosure (firing subs up/ports up) for 3 first version 10W6s to be driven by a Crossfire CFA1000D @ 1ohm in a 2nd gen. Eagle Talon. I have the box layed out as a common enclosure for all 3 subs, with a net volume around 3.1 cu/ft. I'd like to use two 3" ports to tune the...
