All am looking for is a very serious SQ set of Component speakers an a great amp...I am easily in the field of spending 700-800 for this set...please guide me straight.

I am seting up a new system in my car and thinking about getting a JL 12w7 hooked up to a Soundstream TRX1500D. Staight up...I want to know if I wil have my bass covered for some good SQ and SPL for a daily driver. If you have countermeasures...let me know.

I would consider 300-400 for a nice component set. And if you do know some that are punchy in the midbass range...thats a plus. I might even consider going a little crazier for the right speaker. I have heard Focals and Morels are up there. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Last time I had a system, I got a set of CDT's. Among sudio enthusiasts...are they still a **** fine set of speakers? If you have recommendations....I would like to know.

I understand that the amount of power a sub needs goes hand in had with the power you choose for it. If someone could give me a good combo of either 2 x 12" and an amp or 1 x 12" and an amp that really kicks ass...that would be a good start. I'd probably stay in the 500-700 dollars in just that...

Okay lets deal with a sub and powering it for now. I do like a healthy mix of SPL and SQ...but SQ is definitely paramount. I need a reference for a good deep and punchy sub and something good to drive it.

Last setup I had was two RF amps. I was tempted to get HiFonics at the time...but I heard they weren't doing as good as they used to back in the days. Who had quality gear for a decent price without getting out of control with name brand based pricing.

I have been looking at the JL Audio line of woofers...can any one speak on them or give reference to quality?
