    Amp choice

Adding an RE SRX12D sub in a sealed .65 cube box to my system and looking for a class D mono to power it. Have narrowed down the following choices and just looking for opinions. The amp must accept speaker level input and turn on/off from detecting power to the inputs. Sound Stream Rubicon...

    Amp choice

Nah, with the 5 channel I can run the infinity comps up front, put some coaxials in the rear doors and 5th channel for the sub. I just didn't look too hard at the 5 channels because they're a fair bit more than the 4-channels for the few I saw initially, so I was only going to run the comps on...

    Amp choice

    Here's prices: Soundstream rubicon 4.600 - $145 Hifonics Zeus zxi80.4 - $140 Or....I just found a Cadence 5-channel for $150..F100-5. That's 150 watts per channel at 2 ohm. The Infinity's are only rated to 90 watts though.

    Bridging, impedance question

I don't have an amp yet. I have a Dodge Ram quadcab pickup. I want to run the Infinity's in the front and a single sub under the rear passenger seat. Space is very limited, so running a mono block for the sub and another amp for the speakers probably isn't going to fit. I can't put an amp...

    Bridging, impedance question

I have a set of Infinity Kappa 60.7CS components and tweeters I purchased from my wife's nephew ($75 and they're mint). These are 2 ohm speakers, so I have a question about running them on a bridged amp. If I bridge the rear 2 channels on a 4-channel amp to run a sub, won't all the channels...

Opinions on this low budget build

At first I was going to just add a cheap sub to my stock HU set up in my truck, but the wife has added a few more $$ to what I can spend, so here's what I'm thinking: I bought some like new Infinity Kappa 60.7CS's from my wife's nephew for $75 (I thought it was a good deal). I want to put...

    Opinions on line converters?

Blactimus, Understand on the post length, but some places usually get upset when you don't say "Hi, this is me" first. I'll definitely be upgrading everything in the future, but I want some bass now. JimJ, Thanks for the tip, I looked up the Navone LOC, $25 for a 2-channel...perfect, I'll...

    Opinions on line converters?

Hiya, Just signed up and making my first post. I have a specific question, but first a little about me... I have installed systems before, but only head units and speakers. I've never installed an amp or crossover. What I lack in install experience I think I make up for in technical...
