First thing to check is the fuses on the amp and fuse on the power wire. Is the metal that the ground wire is on bare or is it painted?

The JBL amp powers on but thats about it. I opened it up and you see that some stuff fried. I got from friend who decided to let a shop install it instead of me and they hooked it up wrong.

Did you get 2 subs? and what is the impedance of the subs you got? As far as the amp, it will run 1 L7 just fine. The amp is CEA compliant so it probably puts out the power it say's it does.

Are you going to run all 3 or just 2 of them? With 3 you should get a 1ohm load. I had mine running 2 jl audio 10 W6v2 at a 1 ohm load for about 1 1/2 years with out a problem.

I'm getting a broken JBL BP1200.1 from a friend and was wondering if someone in socal knows a place that fixes amps?

He said it is 4 guage, I haven't had a chance to look at it and see for myself.

My friend has this amp installed in his truck and he told the fuse popped yesterday, he said it has an 80 amp fuse and he also is power wire had melted. I was wondering what would cause his power wire to melt?

No, it's not my amp. I tried the website and couldn't get the manual to open on my computer.
