The phoenix gold xenon x6.5 components seem to be thought pretty highly of, and for the price, it seems like a good deal. Would these give me the clarity and lack of distortion at higher volumes that I'm looking for?

Thanks for all the responses so far. I listen to ALL types of music. I have 50s doo-wop and I have 50 cent. My main concern with the subs was I didn't want to go lower quality than the JL I am used to, but I'm pretty sure i can get something just as good if not better for what they charge...

Wow, I completely forgot to put a price range! I'd like to keep it at $1,000 or under for amp, wiring, components, subs, and box. I'll buy off ebay if I can to save money, and I'll be doing the installation myself.
