Thats $300. The only reason to buy that sub (in my opinion) is when you cant fit a 10" or 12" sub but need similar output. I'm looking for something more in the $100 range.

If you put a multi-meter on it and it reports 5ohms, yes. If it reports 3ohms, no. The driver that died was exactly 6 ohms on a meter and uses a matched amp for power. Normally I would say that any "4 ohm nominal" would be fine, but the amp is proprietary and I don't know what load it is...
