Featured New build after 13 years. Now What?

Those boom mat baffles can kill bass with some speakers. They are in effect putting your speakers in really tiny enclosures. I have ran them to protect my door speakers from rain, but I cut a hole in the bottom of them to vent the speakers into the door cavity.

Advice on Parallel Battery Charging Options

You definitely need a fuse on both ends of the power wire between the two batteries. Think about it. The power wire gets chafed and shorts out on something ( or, you have an accident) The fuse at the front battery blows. But the second battery is still shorted out. No rear fuse, I hope you...

Looking for a mid-range sound system upgrade.

I see that you’re in Bulgaria. Before I recommend any equipment for you, I need to know what brands are available in your area. I could recommend some great equipment for you, but if that brand is not available there, it does you no good.

Mean machine 2500.1D cutting in and out when tapped

I would remove the amplifier from the vehicle and pull the back panel off of it. Look for anything obvious like burnt spots or cracked solder joints. Or a cracked circuit board. If it’s not obvious and easy to fix on your own, then the amplifier is junk. The repair bill from an electronics...

    uggg ,Time alignment

In my last car, I ended up getting the best sound by not trying to get the sound to the drivers seat. Subwoofer was in the rear, so it was set at zero, rear fill speakers had a little bit of delay, and I increased the front delay till it sounded best.

    Subs cutting in and out

Start by checking the battery voltage at the amplifier while it is cutting out. Most amplifiers go Into low voltage protection at 10.5v or 11v. Also disconnect the subs from the amp and measure the ohm load of the subs. Do you know the exact model numbers of the amplifier and the subs?

    Subs cutting in and out

At this point you need a basic DMM. ( digital multi meter). It doesn’t need to be an expensive one. If you have a Harbor Freight store nearby you can get one for like $8 . Once you have it, ( or if you have one) we can help you with some basic troubleshooting...

Hello again everyone! Questions about crossover settings.

I meant an average deep male voice. There are females that can get into the subwoofer range, but they are not the norm.

Hello again everyone! Questions about crossover settings.

Start at 80hz High pass on the main speakers and 80hz low pass on the sub. I usually use a deep male voice to fine tune from there. If you’re getting a lot a voice through the sub, lower the sub crossover. If he doesn’t sound like his voice is deep enough, raise the crossover. If the main...
