I have an older X790, and it's got 6 5v pre outs, also. Agreed with the x995 unit. I just picked up a JVC KD-ABT22, has bluetooth, USB, 6 pre-outs, and still has changer controls. Don't always have to buy the latest model stuff. Just scrounge thru ebay, there are plenty of sellers with "new"...

Sounds like that boss unit only has full range output. Set of capacitors on the speakers (bass blockers) for a 6db HPF would work. I had to do that on my bronco's "premium" amp way back when. Head unit I had at the time didn't have any High Pass Filter on the outputs. Rear of his head unit.
