Txs supernov, that was very useful info. Yes, all speakers in this car are a PITA to replace thats why this crossover idea is perfect. Would I still need that crossover if I replace the speaker? I might be able to at least in the door and dash. Any specific speaker I should look out for?

that makes sense. When I turn up the volume these door speakers sound distorted with low frequencies. I guess I need to swap out those speakers too. Thank you!

Thats a good idea. I have a cigarette lighter Im not using. And I don't need a crossover, awesome! I just don't understand how that works. How does it keep the low frequencies out of the stock speakers if they are not hooked up to the amp? total newbie question. sorry. Thank you!
