I returned to this forum to find some equipment for my gf's Civc (I cannot ride in it with no subs), and this is what I find. These beautiful specimens. I've always wanted to have some Eclipse equipment and never have, but I think one of these would sound great in that little car....

Well this is a worst case scenario. I always mention it but it has never happened lol. As far as how to test them, I believe a DMM Will do it. Should get 5, 4, 2, or 1V depending upon what your HU has them rated at

Could be a fried rca output on your HU. IPod test will decide that. Bad speaker wire would still produce sound just really quiet and terrible sound. A DMM is $4-5 at harbor freight. I'd suggest investing lol.

Sounds like bad rcas to me. Go with the iPod test or pull your radio and run a new set just straight from the HU to the amp for a quick test. If sound returns, pull the old cable and run the new one

I've only dealt with the Zeus series but I've always had good experiences with Hifonics amps. Not only that, they look friggin cool when turned on.
