it really depends based on the specific location. best bet, go in and meet the installers. just say what's up and see how it goes. worst case scenario, they will guarantee anything they install, so even if they do screw it up, you can get it fixed.

i've never come across a problem like that. the only remedy i can think of is to make sure you have a low pass filter either on the amp or the headunit to make sure the sub is only seeing frequencies lower than 100hz or so. let me know if this helps, and good luck. peace.

but isn't the ground supposed to be less than 2 feet long? and also, would that be the reason for the headunit shutting off? because the amp stays on.. just not the headunit.
