Im not sure what you mean by "Volume Doubling", but you can only get 3 more db's by doubling the amp power. Its hardly significant, however, if your competeing, then it matters.

Personally, id change the woofers. Try the IDQ 12's. My buddy tells me that they always get them Xplode amps returned to them at Best Buy also.

Will the JL Audio stealth box work for you? You could always build one.
