    lol not quite an Mxt, a little bigger- 4900. I drive one as an equipment hauler in the mountains of colorado. (MXT's are niiiiice though- probably don't need sound deadening in those bad boys) So the open/closed cell thing as far as performance goes is moot then at the thicknesses I'm dealing...

    Ok, so after reading and thinking about this, here's my plan: Spectrum sludge on the *outside* of the firewall. (Will this work??) Dynamat extreme on inside of floor, firewall, doors (already in place) Luxury Liner on top of Dynamat inside, as much covering as I can. Motor Mat on the hood...

    I think a lot of the noise is coming through the firewall, but the dynamat didn't really do anything to help that (maybe 10%...) The glass will definitely be hurting the situation, but the good thing about big trucks is the engine is mostly lower than you, and the road is quite a waze down...
