kickers sound like garbage but if you want spl only they're not bad...mtx i would put in a similar category a lot of people on this forum hate on JL but 2 12" W3's push out 500w a piece, clean. you can probably find them for about 200 a piece if you look around

Need to get new 6x9 speakers for the back seat of my car, budget is about 80 bucks and they'll be hooked up to the factory amp...any brand or model recommendations?

what's so hard to understand? i have a stock 8 speaker system, premium audio package from GM, that has a single blown 6.5" woofer in the back seat so i need to replace the woofers but don't wanna spend the money to buy an extra amp!

I don't want or need tweeters unless i have to replace them...i have a single 6.5" blown woofer in my back seat...thought i would be done with my system after i added a sub and amp but it blew this week

Already have a mono amp for my sub and don't really want to spend much money on 2 6.5" woofers for my back seat..can they just be wired in where the stock speakers were and sound ok? going for complete sq don't really care about spl at all

I've been doing research cuz it's impossible to find stock specs for sound systems and it might be a shallow mount 6.5" sub......maybe i should just get a recommendation when i get my $hit installed next weekend cuz I can't really get a good look at it unless i take everything out

The thing is though I actually have a really good stock system in my car and I want speakers of the same quality and I want to rule out the $hitty brands...I have some knowledge about good brands for subs but know absolutely nothing about other speakers

putting in a sub and amp next weekend and have about $100 left over in my budget to replace a blown 6.5" stock speaker in the back of my car...any suggestions? I kind of just want to totally disconnect it but the sound would probably be totally uneven in my back seat Also I want to make sure...

Are you going to install it yourself or take it to a shop to get installed?

Looks like i'm gonna have some extra money left over after my system gets wired and installed...do capacitors make a big enough difference for me to spend extra for one or should i keep the money in my pocket? 500W amp and 500W rms sub so it's not like it's a high powered system

i was talking about how long before it starts causing damage...but i mean it sounds like a majority of people on here are going to be deaf in 10 years so i guess hearing damage counts too lol

I'm also kinda worried i'm gonna get too stoned to drive with the bass going...it's very distracting lol

My amp only powers the sub to a little over half it's max rms power so I guess I shouldn't have a problem. Thanks
