I had a 2 way alarm. Unfortunately, they don't have an infinite range, smart guy.

From my experience, turning off the internal amp made people sound like they had no lisp. I mean, don't get me wrong, with the internal amp on it still sounded great. I'm not looking for some cheapo no name HU. I'll probably stick with Alpine... I just dont want to spend $300 on another HU...

I used to have an 880prs that could do it but it got stolen. It made a big difference in sound quality. Probably more than the fact that it had burr brown DACs. I'm not willing to spend that much on another HU only for it to be stolen. Anyone recommend a HU that can turn off internal amp...

Let me make the question more clear.. Is the ratings based on RMS of the amp or max total?

I'm going to be using 4 gauge wire and its rated for: 4 gauge: ~140 amperes Class D (~70% efficiency) - Question is, will my diamond 400.4 (180X2 @ 4 ohm), diamond 400.2 (430X1 @ 4 ohm), and kicker 250.2 (~100X2 @ 4ohm) need a thicker wire? Do I total up the RMS ratings or the total power...

I have these speakers. Sound extremely good. I'd recommend sealing holes in your doors and deadening them for better midbass...although they sound great without it anyways.
