ok thanks. so it shouldnt burn up like that... as long as i have all the speakers wired right? & the only wires not hooked ujp are orange, blue green & neg purple pos purple

yes we got the harness but like i said when we hook yellow to yellow & red to red it doesnt work =[ so he just hooked up yel/red from radio to red from radio is that ok? lol i know nothing and cant find anything on the internet.

not really extra loud or anything i have it grounded and everything. My brother wired it for me.. & he put the yellow & red wire from the radio to just the red wire from the car.. i tried hooking yellow to yellow & red to red but it wont come on Maybe this is the problem?

So i had my radio hooked up wrongly once, and it messed it up. It was getting really hot on the back. But i bought a new one and it doesn't get hot as fast but i played it for about 45 mins and it got uncomfortably warm, i unplugged it tho so it doesnt mess up. wondering what could cause that?
