It was the rca's. I switched them out for a new set and everything works good now. Thanks for the help!

Thats what i thought too but i was looking around and a lot of people say that shouldnt hurt it. Thanks for the input! I'm just gonna wait until its warmer to turn it up.

Lately it has been getting a lot colder than usual (-11 before the windchill today) and each time this has happened my subs start cutting out at about 23 out of 35. They work fine after warming up for a little while but can the cold cause subs to cut out or do i most likely have another problem...

I'll look around for cheaper ones but for now i'll leave them how they are. I was just checking if there would be any real improvement

I am running 0 gauge power/ground wire, Upgraded 250 amp alternator, big 3 with 0 gauge, stock battery, alpine mrp m2000 amp, and 2 alpine type r 12"s.

Will upgrading my battery terminals from using just o rings on stock terminals to aftermarket 0 gauge terminals make a big difference? I'm just trying to justify spending $50 on terminals alone..

I figured it out (i think) i opened it up and the cable that goes from the board with the rca's to the main board was slightly unplugged. I pushed it in and now it works perfect again

Nope they didnt, and when i opened up the box the subs are in perfect shape. They push in just like they should as well

I dont think it would be the gain its been set 1/3rd of the way up for awhile. The amps current settings are Gain- 1/3rd Bass eq level- +2db Bass eq freq- 50hz Lp filter- 100hz Phase- 0 degree Subsonic- 15hz

Hi, i have an alpine mrp m2000 amp powering 2 alpinr type r 12"s. it was working fine until now. It sometimes wont power the subs at low volumes but whenever i turn it up they turn right on, then if i turn the volume back down the subs will play for a short time then shut off. What could cause...

Could somebody link me to a decent recone kit for the Alpine SWR-12D2 subwoofers? I have 2 with blown voice coils and I already bought replacement subs, but I would like to recone them so that I can either sell them or reuse them later. Thanks.
