Time correction is an amazing thing, I am in love with it. To set it you need to know how far you are from each speaker, then go to the chart in your user manual and it will tell you how to set it. I would read your manual, yes there are a lot of setings but they are all more or less straight...

Well I just went into the car and it was doing 'it' again. Turned defeat on and then back off and voila, music! Thanks for your help. -Mike

Have not tried toggling defeat. Does that fix the problem?

Got a little problem here and don't know what the actual culprit is. Just put the CDA-9831 in 3 weeks ago and have had the problem 3 times since then, once a week it seems. When I turn the car on the stereo comes on and displays the track counter as if the unit is playing the song but no sound...
