    Why does my ipod sound like crap when hooked up to deck?

    I have a simple aux cord running from my ipod to the hu which is a cd-5444. It sound extremely awful, sounds distorted, scrambled, and cuts out from loud to really soft. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

    Need help with my old deck (cd-5444)

    This is an extremely newb question, but I finally am trying to hook an ipod up to it through aux in, I just cant figure out how to get my deck to go to aux mode. Anyone that have had this deck know how? I don't have the remote or manual (dad gave me this deck when he upgraded)

    I need an amp

    My dad decided to give me a bunch of his old stereo equipment minus an amp and I need help on deciding what to get. I've got an Eclipse CD-5444 Head Unit. I want to power a 12" SPL, and I also need to hook up a pair of 4.5 Boston MR's. I'm a noob so help would be great
