i bought the new Alpine MRD-500 monoblock amp and i haven't gotten it to work yet but the amp keeps saying on the display that it has too much current. How do i limit the amount of current? i'm running 8 gauge wire with two 30 amp fuses. thanks

buy a 12v fan, and connect it to your remote wire to get the 12V, and ground it with your amp. that way, when your amp turns on, your fan turns on. i made a switch for mine, so during the day, the fan is always on, but at night when i know i'm not going anywhere, i just shut it off.

there are two 30Amp fuses on the amp, 2 30 amp fuses that run in parallel, and then a 30amp inline fuse that is in the back of the car near the amp. I'm running 8 gauge power. I think what happened was something shorted and the amp died. I'm lookin for a new amp right now. Currently...

alllllllpineeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. i'm gonna be going all alpine type-r in my car. so far i got the alpine headunit and sub. next comes the 6.5" components in the front...6.5" 2-way in the rear, and two alpine V12 amps...maybe even a 2nd 12" type r sub.

i used to have a 12" Aluminum sub...it blew in 3 months. well...didn't blow...but the cone froze...good thing i got the sub for 80 bucks...lol

what kind of music do you listen to? if you buy the audiobahn pro compression sub, they're meant for rock music mainly...nothing like MAJOR bass. what's up with you people now a days? what's with 'i want BADD *** BASS!' in my opinion, i think that's just terrible. when you can hear a car...
