Installed headunit-can hear woofer but cant hear door speakers

well, i went through and rewired the headunit and still i got nothing out of the speakers. but i did hook up my stock radio to rule out the possibility of the speakers themselves being the problem. and, when i plugged the stock radio back in, all of the door speakers worked nicely. any one have...

How to tell the exact output on an amp?

I'm kinda new to the whole car audio thing. And this may be a simple question, but how do you tell how much output you get on a mono amp or a 2 ch. amp? for example, with a zx750.1 it says it has 750 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms. I know the x1 represents the channel, but if you have 2 subs hooked up...

    noob needs help.

Thanks for all the help guys, i really appreciate it. but one thing has changed. i got the subs today, and i opened them and they're the 2ohm version, not the 4ohm. Will this make a difference in how they sound? or what kind of amp i should look at? Thanks Cody

    noob needs help.

Just got 2 12" Kicker CompVR's with dual 4 ohm voice coils, but i'm not sure on what type of amp to get (how many watts, ohms, channels, etc.). On the kicker site, they recomended a 2 channel amp, but i've heard a mono amp might work best. Oh and each sub is 400w RMS and 800w max. Thanks for...
