i have a planet audio bb212d running off of a rockford 1000 and i just replaced the rockford with a bb2400.1 . i had to run the rockford with the gain all the way up and the bass boost at 3/4. running the bb2400.2 at 3/4 gain and maybe 1/4 bass boost and it kicks the crap out of my rockford...

i paid $150 for my planet audio bb212d and it rocks my ****. check them out, you WILL NOT be disappointed, i promise. i havent heard anything louder for the price.

i would say th at the biggest problem would be the distortion. i run a bigger amp to my subs than needed so you dont have to crank the gain up all the way and the sound is much cleaner, more powerful, and your amp will be happy when its not running so hot.
