JBL GTO 3501. 360W rms at 2 ohms. I had the gain around 2/3 so I didn't think I was really pushing it too hard. I've had problems getting the type of sound I would like. I may need to take a look at my enclosure as well, it's a 1 cu ft prefab sealed box.

I wondered the same thing too when I first looked at Kia's wiring diagram - they call it "remote gnd". I assume it's some kind of ground for the steering wheel remote. So it would be ok to just siamese it into the ground wire on the HU wiring harness? And no, I don't have the Infinity system...

So tomorrow I'm installing a new HU in my car (2011 Optima) and I need to hook up a Metra steering wheel adapter so I can still use the steering wheel controls. I'm also using a Metra wiring harness to hook up the HU (obviously). I think I have everything wired up correctly, but I'm not sure...

Thanks. I didn't think that sounded right, I had never heard that an amp being internally bridged would affect it's ability to run a 2 ohm load from a dvc sub. I'll remember not to go to that shop for anything.

Sorry I should have clarified, it is a 4 ohm dvc sub and the amp is 2 ohm stable. The guy I spoke with said that because the amp is internally bridged, I wouldn't be able to run a 2 ohm load with a 4 ohm dvc sub. He said I would have to run a 4 ohm load. Does that sound right?
