Missing a wire for Type-R sub

Ok, with the powers of google I found the answer. In case anyone is wondering or stumbles on here with the same problem I meant the Banana Cables and found that it's ok to use regular speaker wire instead.

Missing a wire for Type-R sub

So I just received a used Alpine Type-R 1243d sub and I'm running two of the 4 ohm DVC subs at 1ohm, so I should have 2 of the short cables (don't know what they are called) to connect the + to + and - to - terminals but only got one.. can I cut a small piece of speaker wire run between the two...

    I screwed up!! =[

Ok, phew. Fuses are all good. I ran the remote power up to the front of the car to the 12v lighter and the amp powered on =] so that means I have something wrong with the SOEM-T adapter, going to check that out now. Thanks for your guys help though

    I screwed up!! =[

lol thanks, I'll head out there after a quick shower and check. If it is the fuses, how can I get a replacement, are they common and avail. at Home Depot or something? Sorry for the n00b qs, this is my first install.

    I screwed up!! =[

This was my first amp install and everything was going well until I went to hook up the power to the amp... got some sparks, so I double checked, and sure enough I hooked up the +/- backwards!! ugh anyways, I put it in the right way and when turning on the radio the amp doesn't have the power...

    Hifonics + Power Acoustics Advice

That's what I was thinking but didn't know if people liked them in the car so they could adjust it often. Personally I would rather just get things right once and leave everything alone.

    Hifonics + Power Acoustics Advice

Hey, one more question for you guys. This will be my first system with a bass remote, should I bother installing this in the cab or do most of you just leave it at one setting, I pretty much just listen to rap/hip hop. I'm installing this in a 2010 camaro and the battery is in the trunk, so the...

    Hifonics + Power Acoustics Advice

Thanks for all the positive responses, I was expecting some people screaming about reading old posts lol I try but typically it's tough to find info on the exact comparison of what you're trying to find. I think I will throw in the extra $20 and get the hfi1500D. Thanks again

    Hifonics + Power Acoustics Advice

Hey guys, so I'm getting 2 Alpine 12" type-r SWR-1243d with 600w rms, so 1200w rms combined and looking for an amp now. I want to spend $150 or less. I see the Power Acoustics BAMF2000d, STAX2000d, and CPT1-2200d. Now the first two are 1200w rms @ 1 ohm and the last is 1300w rms @ 1 ohm. My...

    Alpine Type-R

speakers are about 140 and getting the cheaper, lower rated amp would save a bit, but if buying the larger amp would save me down the road then it's worth it, just the extra 140 and needing the larger amp is tough. Trying to stay under 400, including a 100 custom box

    Alpine Type-R

I'm thinking about getting Type-R subs but on a budget so trying to think of the best way to do it. Ultimately, I would like 2 of the 12's, but can really just afford one at the moment. So would I be better off getting an amp with rms of 1200w at 1ohm and 900w at 2ohm and run the one 12 (4 ohm...
