That's correct. You just need one for your explorer, it plugs into the factory wireing harness and converts all the wires to what you need for an aftermarket radio.

If it is a three pronged switch, which it should be, connect the accessory wire to the middle spade, take the other wire going to your amp and connect it to one of the other spades. Then find a spot to ground a wire, and hook that wire up to the last spade on the switch.

Can you not make it theoretical? You could write it saying that it should and why but also state the fact that it is illegal for the state to enact the ban. Would that work or does it have to be real and something that could actually happen.
