RE8 installed in factory location. PICS!

Hey, I did the same thing in a Hoe a couple months ago, but I did a trim ring and brought the sub out just a bit more to get a good solid mounting surface and give it a bit more airspace... Sounded pretty darn good actually (did RE comps in the front) and ran it all off an Infinity 4 channel.

good woofers to replace 3 W6's

Sorry, meant 12W6... At any rate...I would sell the 1000/1, 1 12W6, get a used Incriminator 20.1, a new ported box, and I bet it would be SIGNIFICANTLY louder than the three sealed with 500 each. You wouldnt even have money out of pocket. Oh, and of course get a good battery and do the big 3

good woofers to replace 3 W6's

I dont think the issue is the woofers...the issue is power and enclosure. Get yourself an IA 20.1 and drop the impedance like its hawt...then build a vented enclosure tuned to 30 HTZ. You could sell me a 13W6 though if you want....

Without further delay... 12 inch test session is OPEN

The Kicker CVX impresses... I think street price on those is like 175 ish... Thank you again for doing this.

    does poppin runine a sub

Turn it down man, you are past the useful limits of your subs suspension. Damage will surely ensue.

Well, I am pretty sure you commited a felony by just saying that.

    Thunder Bass

I would go with "sounds of nature, vol. 3" turn it up to 11.

Do i really need jl cleansweep for an 2006 acura tl?

no. I dont believe the TL has that at all.

Do i really need jl cleansweep for an 2006 acura tl?

Well according to the guy from JL, the Acura TL only adds a bit of mid bass eq, and IIRC it was within +-3db throughout the spectrum. Apparently the MDX was much worse with +5DB swings and would perhaps warrant the EQ benifits of the Cleansweep, but MOST folks in the TL are just using the Navone...

Do i really need jl cleansweep for an 2006 acura tl?

Get a David Navone LOC. Way cheaper, and no stupid external knobs to deal with. I have a TL, trust me on this. The Navone converter is excellent quality, and I have no noise or hiss issues. I Cannot express enough how important it is to get the NAVONE converter...a crappy one will not yield...

    13W6 vs FI Q

That is what I am leaning towards...unfortunately without hearing either, I can only go on reputation and common sense, and common sense tells me that 20% greater surface area (13W6) between 2 very good drivers with equal power and not modifying the box is going to be louder. Here is a pic of...

    13W6 vs FI Q

sorry guys, nice thought but the largest that will fit without rebuilding the very nice and very custom box I had built is a 13w6 (the face of the enclosure is 14 inches high) firing towards the rear of the trunk.

Opinion/Suggestions on New RF Punch 25 to Life amps

Well, I love my anniversary punch 75...my build sheet said 228 RMS per channel into 4 Ohms at 14.4. I highly doubt you would be able to discern any audible difference... The amp is pushing Boston Pro 6.0s and giving them all they want. (They are 3 ohm, so I am likely seeing more in the...

    13W6 vs FI Q

I dont think you read the post entirely. I am speaking of total project cost. I dont feel like I will need a new amp with the 13W6. I do think I will need a new amp if I get a FI Q

    13W6 vs FI Q

Hello all, I need a bit of advice. I have an Infinity Kappa perfect DVQ in a vented 2.2 (net) enclosure tuned to 28 Htz. I love the sq of it, and it gets plenty loud for sane individuals (I have 700 RMS going to it) but I find myself wanting a bit more. I figure my two options are to enlarge...
