Cool, a second opinion was all I needed. I was looking at the Viper and a buddy recommended the Hifonics.

Currently I have an Audiobahn A275HCT and I want something that is better and stronger. I have narrowed my choice down to the Hifonics Brutus 1500d and the DEI d1200.1 . The amp will be pushing a single Audiobahn AW1008T dvc sub at 1 ohm. Which of these two amps is the best for the buck?

OK, I have Pioneer Premier DEH-P840MP head unit and I just added a GEX-FM903XM tuner. I am controlling the tuner through IP-Bus but right now I don't have an antenna yet. I have the AUX turned on, on the head unit, but I really don't have any way of telling if it is set up right or not. I know...

OK... this is quite strange. For the last week or so, when my head unit's face opens when it powers up, the face would open about halfway, then the head unit would cut off. The faceplate would close up like normal, and then it would reopen and work fine. Tonight, it just kept cycling like this...

Looking into purchasing these fairly soon. Just wondered if anyone could give me their opinions on them. They will be running off my head unit (pioneer premier deh840mp) for a few weeks until i get a 4-channel. Or i may just wait on the amp to install them. Anyway, let me know what experiences...

i'd like to throw a a/v setup in my car with ps2, car pc, etc... but don't have the time or money to do it right now.

ok, i've just read through the entire manual for my amp and the only mention it gives of the remote bass controller is a figure showing where to plug the cord in. No mention of any settings, etc.

the cord was brand new. I took it out of the package and plugged it directly to the amp/controller to test before i ran the wire. And it didn't work. I ran the wire anyway because i intend on using the knob, even if i have to get a replacement.

After fighting with Audiobahn for 3 months I finally have the bass controller knob AND the cord, so I install it running the wires and all so the knob is in the glove box... and the stupid thing doesn't work. When I plug the cable into the amp, you can hear the volume of the subs drop down...

hmm... i already tried an RJ11c cord and it didn't work. Probably could call audiobahn and find out, maybe I'll have better luck with them than my shop did.

i've done some minor db drags and things like that... no big competitions anywhere near me. Plus i'm not all that hardcore about stereo competition, just wanted to see what my subs would do.

Well, when I purchased my A275HCQ audiobahn amp, they left out the bass controller knob. After having the shop that I buy from call audiobahn about 5 times, they finally shipped me out a bass knob, but no cord for it. No luck trying to get them to send a cord either. So, can anyone point me out...
