If I were going to build you a box and your measurements are correct, here's what I would build...

How do you want the box finished? (carpet, vinyl, bare wood, painted)?

That top plate is just a trim panel. It's not the actual enclosure, so you don't need to knwo the volume of that cavity. Just build a square box, to the dimensions you want, and then cover it all with that form fitting trim panel.

The "stupid logo" is probably there because the amp needed some cooling. If you don't want the logo, at least let the amp breathe somehow. As for making the template, use card board. Go slow, trim as needed. You can use a jig with a pen on one end if you can hold it straight.

They are both built in the same place. The same people put them together. May not be identical parts, but the build quality has to be the same.
