appreciate the quick response man. gotta forgive me, i dont know crap about this stuff. but if the glue cystalizes and is NOT conductive as you said, doesnt that mean it wont work? i was thinking crazy glue or whatever also... but im about to buy a new one so i got nothing to lose i guess.

ive had the same great MTX amp powering my kicker subwoofers for years and that thing still sounds awesome. the issue is that the chip keeps coming loose, so the red light goes off and the speakers won't work. i constantly go to the trunk and move the chip so it catches the metal and the light...
