Morel Elate 6.3 or Rainbow Profi Kickbass 3-way?

I persume because the Qts for Morel Elate 6 is so low at 0.35 vs Profi Kick woofer at 0.80. Any experience with Profi 100 midrange? How low can this midrange play down to? Profi midrange seems to have much lower resonance frequency of 84Hz vs Morel CDM 54 @ 300Hz.

Morel Elate 6.3 or Rainbow Profi Kickbass 3-way?

Did you run the elate 6 SW for a while? How did they sound? I saw an old tread where you were looking to buy those mids.

    Focal Naysayers

I have heared Focal V1, V2, KF, KP, K2P, K3P, and Utopia Be in cars. V2 and Utopia BE are nice, but personally I would not bother with the rest. K2 Power series do have very good midbass, in fact they can play lower than Lotus RF165, but I just can't stand those tweeters. It's ilke I would sit...

    Seas Lotus Ref's came today!

I also changed x-over to 1000Hz @ -12db, but music just sounded to thin for me, so back to 2Khz a@ -18db and 3.15KHz @-12db.

Morel Elate 6.3 or Rainbow Profi Kickbass 3-way?

Thinking of upgrading to a 3-way set-up, which one is better? I can get them at same price.

    Anyone heard of "Hertz" before?

Hertz and Audison owned by the same parent company called Elettromedia. They do have quality stuff. It's high end comp speakers - Hertz Mille is very expensive but supposedly very very good.

    165k2p vs Lotus vs Profi

I was choosing among these three speakers recently and I ended up with Seas Lotus Reference. I've listened to all three set-up, my order of preference is: Lotus Reference > Rainbow Profi Vanadium > Focal K2P. Lotus and Rainbow are close while Focal is a distant 3rd.

Seas Lotus Reference Comp. set....Fabric or Aluminum tweeter??

I am using the Fabric Ref tweeter on the dashboard aiming directly at me, so far so good. As I get irritated easily with harsh tweeter (sit in too many irritating Focal TN52 set-up), I went with Fabric rather than Alum but I heard the Alum Ref set-up on panel and they are pretty smooth too.

This thread contains Seas Lotus *pics*

I have been running Lotus RW165 for a few weeks now and after adjusting the x-over for hours finally settling in at 100Hz @ 18db and 1.6KHz @18db while tweeter RT25F at 2.5KHz @ 12dB. The downside with Lotus Ref is that playing "bad" recording is quite a pain as all the faults are revealed...

    got my deh-p880prs

If you read P.86 of the P880RS owner manual, it read: "Sampling Frequency: 44.1Khz, Number of quantization bit: 16 Linear". It's NOT 24 Bit, it's 16 Bit.

Boston Z6 or Seas Lotus Reference?

It's bizzare that Clarion does not sell that model in the US!! It's called DXZ955MC in Canada and DRZ958MC in Europe and it won the EISA award in 2005. I do believe 24-bit HU sounds nicer SQ wise.

Boston Z6 or Seas Lotus Reference?
