thanks for the help, i figured it out. it was the ohm load.

today when i installed one of my old headunits (alpine cda-7892) in my beater i ran into a weird problem. the back speakers work fine (stock) but when i hook the front speakers (cdt ef-61) up the sound completely cuts out until the fronts are disconnected. im pretty stumped on this problem since...

X2 if you must have 6x8 components, alpine did make type r 6x8's a few years back.

im running my ef-61fg's with tw-25's on a bridged zapco ag360 amp. i believe you can get one usd for pretty cheap...solid amp.

i ran 2 IDQ's infinate baffle in my 97 civic and loved it. clean install, cant wait to see the finished product.
